We had a good time at this Party. I imagine the children will be positively affected by the Graffiti Words. And they usually hang them on the wall in their homes after the Party. The picture (the Word) becomes a basic part of their lives. But I feel like I could have had more impact if I didn't let the children tell me what word they wanted me to write for them. I feel like they already affiliated themselves with the words they gave me. But if I bestowed my random positive words on them, my pictures could have broadened their sense of self.

If people feel like they have only the labels they had already been given, they might feel limited. As though that's all they could be. Or they Must always be That. Pigeon-holed. Possibly even limiting their futures. I, on the other hand, frequently bestow more generalized words on them ~ things like Kindness, Strength, or Lucky.

If we didn't get off on the 'wrong track' (I don't remember for sure, but I think my hostess told the children that they could tell me what word they want me to write for them), I could have helped people access the positive traits that we all have inside ourselves. Sometimes dormant or hidden, but it is there.

I was drawing Caricatures at an Early Thanksgiving Event. Hosted by the Community.

I feel so happy to be involved in Good Events like this. I feel like Every Community should host a Thanksgiving Dinner.

Here are a few of the Pictures I created at the Event for Montblanc's Little Prince Collection. Such a lovely day, such a fine establishment.

I was Drawing & Painting on Notecards and Books provided by Montblanc. The Notecards already had a Little Prince picture in the corner. Real nice ~ gave me a jumping-off point from which to create my pictures.

I felt appreciated.

I recently booked an Event for the Montblanc Store in which I was asked to Draw and Paint in the Style of The Little Prince.

I explained that I would only be painting My Own Pictures in the same Style that was used in the Little Prince.

So, getting ready to Draw and Paint in a Different Style with a Different Medium (Water Colors), I set about to 'Study'. I made a Caricature based on a Photo of a Lady that I Caricatured at a Recent Party. On my Regular Paper because my Client wants me to work on her "Stationary". I'm figuring that won't be real WaterColor Paper.

Turned out to be as Easy as I thought it would be.

I will really Enjoy this Event. I love to Paint. And I admired this beautiful book since I was in High School!

But I'm hoping I will still feel good after working in this Style for several Hours. I felt surprised to Experience "Nervous Lines" that are part of this Style. Not at all the Smooth Confident Lines of My Own Style.
